OpenAI Launches Agent Builder and AgentKit: A New Era for Building and Deploying AI Agents
OpenAI has just rolled out AgentKit, an all-in-one platform designed to make creating, deploying, and testing AI agents easier than ever. The new release brings together a visual Agent Builder, an embeddable ChatKit interface, and an upgraded Evals system, giving developers a seamless workflow for taking ideas from prototype to production.
At the center of this launch is Agent Builder (currently in beta) — a visual, drag-and-drop canvas that lets you design complex multi-step and multi-agent workflows without touching raw code. You can connect nodes, set up guardrails, preview responses, and even configure evaluations inline. Each workflow supports full versioning, so teams can experiment freely and roll back when needed.
OpenAI says both its internal teams and early customers are already using Agent Builder to dramatically shorten the development cycle, moving from early experiments to production-ready agents in record time.
