There are tunnels under the city of Macon, Ga. but is there a system and where does it go?

We have decided that this is worth investigating why a tunnel system might exist, because many people are unsure if they exist or not.

If they exist we want to know why they were originally created. We hope and think this is something that the people of Macon would find interesting and want to know more about.
