What is it like for residents who rely on Macon transit as their sole means of transportation?

Are their experiences positive or negative?

We chose this Hearken question because there are many Macon residents who rely on the Macon Transit Authority as a means of transportation. We’d like to hear their perspectives and experiences with public transit.

This has the potential to be an interesting project; the Georgia Department of Public Health’s Injury Prevention Program ranked Macon-Bibb as the second highest pedestrian death rate of all counties in the state. Pedestrian deaths are an ongoing issue. Residents who have little to no access to transportation are relying on walking in a city that was not built with the pedestrian in mind.
