It is important for any news organization to understand the dynamic that exists between citizens and the city they live in.

What is it that Macon residents like about their city?

Drew Bryant, a Mercer University student, said he likes Macon because of the different attractions that the city offers, including Ocmulgee National Monument and sporting events in the city.

“I like them because they’re outlets for me to relieve anxiety and just go to relax and explore,” Bryant said.

For Ocmulgee especially, Bryant said he can go there to escape his daily routine of work and studying to hike through nature for an hour or two.
