What’s going on with the homeless donation meters?

Six years ago, homeless donation meters were established in several locations throughout Macon. However, they have been out of use for a few years now.

The donation meters installed downtown to raise money for the homeless are no longer in use.

Without the donation meters in effect, how is the public able to assess the needs of the homeless population in our community? Scott Mitchell, owner of Travis Jean Emporium, shares his thoughts on ways to help the local homeless community.
