A golden rule for getting the most out of Zojul events and circles is to be open and engaged.

As such, we recommend introducing yourself before an event or when taking part in a circle, via the message board, and taking part in any conversation that happens there. If you’re hosting, this is vital.

Zojul is still fairly new, and for the time being we’re using a third-party service for our message boards. It’s not ideal, but it does the trick.

Here’s how to use the boards (a one-off set up):

  1. Get a Disqus account. A small faff, we know, but you only do it once and can reuse it across lots of other sites too.
  2. Set your Disqus name (not your username — this must be unique) to be your first name. This way people can match it up with your Zojul profile.
  3. Subscribe to discussions you comment on by ticking the relevant box in your Disqus notification settings. This way you can keep abreast of the conversation. If you’re hosting then this is really important — it allows you to respond quickly to any questions from attendees.

That’s it. After that, just post a comment in a board, such as

“Hi, Olly here! Looking forward to seeing you all at the game night! :)”

and get the conversation started.

Have fun Zojulizing!
