Let’s Talk History 42: Massachusetts Bay Company & Colony: An Omen

1629:

The New England Company becomes the Massachusetts Bay Company with an official royal charter granted by King Charles I. see: The Massachusetts Bay Colony, which includes present-day Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

see: Dorchester Co. >>> New England Co. >>> Massachusetts Bay Co.

John Endecott becomes the first official governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, peaceably replacing Roger Conant in Salem

*note: possession of land grants and charters (obtained by buying out the stock of a company) prevented English (colonial governorship) and stockholder interference.
