who are we anyway?
we like movies. like we really like movies. we see a lot of them, we talk a lot after them, we have a lot of thoughts on them. so we decided to write about them. if you want to know something about us, keep reading.
KJ
KJ has never seen a movie she didn’t like. more specifically, she walks out of every theatre and immediately says some variation of “I liked it!”. ten minutes later, she will change her mind, but the first reaction is almost always a positive one. KJ claims to have taken 3 film classes in college, so she thinks she knows the phrase “mise en scène” and will definitely try to sneak it into every post to sound smart. don’t be fooled, she’s just trying to get famous.
in her free time, she enjoys reading, going to concerts, and playing the recorder. most likely to choose a font color because the hex code means something to her.
KW
KW uses her parents Netflix account, her roommate’s Amazon Prime, and her neighbor’s Hulu. all this to say, she brings almost nothing to the table, besides popcorn and occasionally quick wit. in the hopes of getting famous, KW has dedicated her Sunday afternoons to becoming a student of the arts. this typically just means disagreeing with KJ that every movie is great. they just aren’t.
in her free time, she enjoys trying (and failing) to keep succulents alive, baking cupcakes, and wearing enough Patagonia to seem outdoorsy. most likely to not know what a hex code is.
KS
KS is the only person here even remotely qualified to be writing a movie review blog. whereas KJ loves everything and KW doesn’t like anything, KS actually has an educated opinion that you should want to read. KS not only knows the phrase “mise en scène”, but will use it correctly and in a way that makes you think “damn this girl knows what she’s talking about, how do i become her best friend?”.
in her free time, she enjoys creating chalkboard art, cycling across the US, and scolding teens texting during movies. most likely to actually get famous.
EK
EK has a passion for traveling and learning about new cultures. she is a lifelong learner who believes the next great thing is just around the corner. EK thinks the key to her finding fame is to one day see a movie that she relates to on such a deep emotional level that she weeps. not like sheds one tear or whatever, really, truly weeps.
in her free time, she enjoys yoga, making soup, and complimenting strangers in the grocery store. most likely to join an exclusive club in the hopes of finding an incredible mentor.
