Time to put your stomping boots on.

Dear Self,

I know that 33 was a rough one. However, it's time to turn the page. Welcome to your 34th year.

This is your year to do so many things:

  • To improve your health by learning how to better manage lymphedema.
  • To spend more time improving mental health and spiritual practice.
  • To become a better writer and photographer. To take more photos.
  • Take time to enjoy the pleasures, both small and great: ballgames, concerts, morning coffee and sunrise.

The past year of your life has hit you hard. You have had a few great triumphs: getting married, making money by writing, and paying off credit card debt. However, you’re also coming into this year at a rock bottom place thanks to anxiety and depression. You also received the news that your precious dog Tucker might have lymphoma. That’s a hard pill to swallow.

You’ve struggled with health, work and friends. However, you’ve also experienced love that builds you up from your mom and husband. Don’t forget those beacons of light.

On the positive, you have found a morning routine that works, enjoyed a lot of Cold Stone Creamery creamer and meditation.

Continue to use the tools that you have to make it better.

This is going to be a better year, I can feel it. I can’t wait to see what you do moving forward.

All my love,

Me
