Something about this summer

There’s something about the summer,
that makes everything inside of me very alive

The happiness, the sadness,
the joy, the moodiness;
The sky and the warmth
An infinite pinnacle of clouds,
hovering above the beautiful Californian Earth

Everything sets my inner world in motion

What more does summer mean to you?
For me, it destroys all things that aren’t mine
My pride, my ego, my woman, my trophies;

I let their attachments burn in the furnace,
Of this beautiful summer

Never-ending trials at achieving something,
I dance at their funeral pier as I slowly die to my past

The summer is revitalizing,
over this beautiful momentum of my gaze of love

The summer shines over the beautiful Californian Earth,
and it burns away my days of sadness

Beautiful summer, destroy my motivations,
I have never felt so chained and yet so free
Just like typing “help” turns to “hello” on auto-correct;
This summer burns away a thousand ways,
to get what I want

There is something about this summer
