They captivated Memphis and then eventually the rest of the league. It sets up the foundation for the most promising era the grizzlies have enjoyed since the team moved to Memphis more than 20 years ago
The warriors ended the grizzlies' magical season but this Memphis team should not hold their head down. The future is bright for this young team and they gained a lot of experience in these playoffs and can learn a lot from what they went through this postseason.
They forced Golden State to dig deep into its reserves and that resiliency and refusal to give in is what defined the grizzlies' season. As much as this loss stings, it caps off one of the greatest seasons in franchise history.
Memphis took leaps as a franchise unlike anyone expected and I expect them to grow from this season and expect them to be contenders for years to come. They finished the regular season as a 2 seeded team in the western conference and made the league pay attention.
