Which of Georgia’s quarterbacks has the most passing yards of all time?

The answer might surprise you.

#10 — D.J. Shockley (3,555 career passing yards)

D.J. Shockley played at Georgia from 2002 through 2005. He was the Bulldog’s starting quarterback during his senior season. During his senior season, Georgia went 10–3 and finished 10th in the final AP poll. In the 7th round of the 2006 NFL draft, Shockley was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons.

#9— Buck Belue (3,864 career passing yards)

Buck Belue played at Georgia from 1978 through 1981. Belue was a three-year starter from 1979 through 1981. Georgia won the National Championship in 1980 with Buck Belue as their starting quarterback.

#8 — Stetson Bennett (4,301 career passing yards)

Stetson Bennett has played at Georgia since 2019. He is returning to Georgia for his final season in 2022. In 2021, Bennett led Georgia to its first National Championship since 1980. Stetson Bennett should move up this list if he remains the starter throughout the 2022 season.

#7 — Mike Bobo (6,334 career passing yards)

Mike Bobo played at Georgia from 1994 through 1997. He was the starting quarterback during his junior and senior seasons. Bobo led Georgia to a 10–2 record his senior season and a 10th place finish in the final AP poll rankings. The Georgia Bulldogs hired Bobo in January 2022 as an offensive analyst.

#6 — Quincy Carter (6,447 career passing yards)

Quincy Carter played at Georgia from 1998 through 2000. Georgia finished inside the top 20 each of his three seasons. In the 2nd round of the 2001 NFL draft, Carter was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys. Carter played in the NFL from 2001 through 2004 with the Dallas Cowboys (2001–2003) and New York Jets (2004).

#5 — Matthew Stafford (7,731 career passing yards)

Matthew Stafford played at Georgia from 2006 through 2008. He was the starting quarterback all three seasons. Stafford was the 1st overall pick of the 2009 NFL draft by the Detriot Lions. He won the Super Bowl in his first season with the Los Angeles Rams. Matthew Stafford may make it into the NFL Hall of Fame when his career is over.

#4 — Jake Fromm (8,224 career passing yards)

Jake Fromm played at Georgia from 2017 through 2019. He was the starting quarterback all three seasons. Fromm was drafted in the 5th round of the 2020 NFL draft by the Buffalo Bills. Jake Fromm currently plays for the New York Giants.

#3 — Eric Zeier (11,153 career passing yards)

Eric Zeier played at Georgia from 1991 through 1994. Zeier was a four-year starter for Georgia. Zeier finished in the top 10 of the Heisman voting his junior and senior seasons. He was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1995 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns. His NFL career spanned from 1995 to 2000.

David Greene played at Georgia from 2001 through 2004. Greene was a four-year starter at Georgia during his career. In the 3rd round of the 2005 NFL draft, he was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks.

#1 — Aaron Murray (13,166 career passing yards)

Aaron Murray played at Georgia from 2010 through 2013. He was the starting quarterback all four seasons. Murray threw for over 3,000 passing yards in each of his four seasons. He was drafted in the 5th round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
