The Fifth Letter: Aging
“Dear Mia, One day you’ll grow old enough and brave enough
to do the things you’re thinking of doing.
One day you’ll know how to finish writing books,
and won’t wonder about what people will think of you, if you went this way or that.
One day your mind will know peace and you’ll run out of doubts to cement your fears with.
One day the only thing that’ll matter is how true you are to yourself.
Age is on your side, don’t let the troubles of time deceive you, as a writer you are only going to get better as you grow older.
Now listen closely — one day is today.
