2022 Mystery NFT Prediction Contest Winners

Dragon keepers who nest their Levana dragon eggs will receive a mystery NFT along with the nested egg. We held a contest in our #NFT holders Discord channel for people to guess what this mystery NFT would be.

The response from the community was creative and enthusiastic. There were lots of guesses; one person who was spot on, and others who came close. Some of the theories were funny, some were ridiculous, but all of the community feedback, which helps mold our direction is invaluable.

Let’s take a dive into the Levana NFT holder’s subconscious with a brief review of their NFT predictions.

Many of the guesses centered around items for the dragons — a leash or a saddle, special armor or skin, a baby dragon care package, a birth certificate, a nametag, an enormous bottle for feeding the baby dragon, a different bottle for catching its flaming breath to craft fire based items, a dragon bed, or a dragon picture book documenting its evolutionary journey.

Other dragon themed guesses included tail accessories, claw clippers, a collar, dragon booties, a mystery tooth, marshmallows for fire breathing baby dragons to roast, an audio NFT of dragon lullabies, a chicken NFT for sitting on the eggs to keep them warm, and our favorite — a commodity based on the supposition that Levana Darkness Dragons will emit dark matter excrement, and so an NFT Pooper Scooper for Dark Matter would be minted for those darkness pooping dragons.

Another subset of guesses were centered around the metaverse and avatar crafting — for example a map, or coordinates to your dragon’s cave, a retractable helmet, a sword, or a different type of weapon; healing herbs, and a particularly interesting suggestion of a Map of Mars, to be used with other special NFTs to complete a map of the Levana DAO community war chest for airdrops.

Some community members guessed the metadata gems will come to light — the jewels from the dragon egg or meteor dust, to attach to a riding helmet or crown, or even a cloak for attaching the precious stones, eventually creating a technicolor gem cloak. Super original ideas! Other guesses included comic book NFTs, or items from Levana lore — such as Imma’s purple bottle, or the first book of the Levana trilogy as an NFT. The Levana Book of Lore is not the mystery NFT, but it will be available later to the community. Whoever acquires the NFT books will also be sent a physical copy of the publication IRL. More on this at a later date.

Among the more original guesses were an NFT voucher for one beard hair from our head of comms, Jonathan, redeemable only in person. Other hopeful theories included our Chief NFT Sorceress BeachDragon’s personal cell number for 24/7 support — speculation quickly put to rest by BeachDragon herself, though not without a laugh.

Another guess was a voucher for a 5 min Zoom AMA with our Head of Comms — unnecessary, as Jonathan is available on a weekly basis on Discord to answer every question the community throws his way.

There were 3 community members who came very close: Viaroz#9168 who guessed the mystery NFT would be a representative ring which ties to the dragon family for dragonriders — almost, but not quite. Another community member, Sainaa#6681 guessed the NFT is a trinket, with a family sigil on it — close. Olojoh#5022 posited the NFT would be a necklace with a medallion — almost there. The official winner of the contest is Kajex#3574, who successfully divined the mystery NFT is a signifier that designates your faction — which is exactly right.

The Faction talisman allows Dragon Egg keepers to have membership and a visual representation of their faction, within the greater Levana Dragons NFT/DeFi game.

The 3 Discord members who came closest each win a Levana rare meteor, and the hilarious dark matter pooper scooper guesser wins one, too (JonLeech#0706). Kajex#3574 receives a rare meteor for being a phenomenal Mystery NFT prognosticator.
