I receive many comments, emails and DMs from web designers and web developers of different level: from complete newbies to pros, which together constitute the audience of this publication. But have you, guys, ever thought of when did web design started at all?

I’ll give you an idea why it is important. They say, that many things in our lives repeat themselves at certain points of development. Simplest example is history, but speaking to the point — web design. Web design is quite young, but it’s seen many different trends, and some of them managed to appear twice or triply at the top.

If you understand, where it comes from, then you can predict in what direction it’s going to develop further.

That’s why you should not only chase the trends, but examine the past in order to learn to see the trends beforehand and be ahead of everyone else.
