Welcoming David Huang to Level Ventures

When we find someone in the community who represents a similar ethos, and inspires us to think in new ways, we do our best to bring them in to join the Level family. Today, we’re excited to welcome David Huang to our team as Principal Data Scientist, where he’ll help lead our efforts to break new ground and further discovery at the convergence of data, graph theory and financial markets.
David grew up in Shenzhen and Vancouver being fascinated by how technology and society shape each other over time. After studying applied math & computer science at University of California, Berkeley, he explored the potential of leveraging data and software at Palantir and two other startups. Most recently, David applied data science to analyzing tech & business trends at Coatue.
David strives to blend work with play and enjoys learning & testing insights from history, artificial intelligence, and their generable spaces. He finds deep inspirations in Asimov’s Foundation universe and the Chinese classic Chronicles of Eastern Zhou Kingdoms for their hints of timeless human essence and unbounded potential. David is also an avid soccer player and theorist.

He brings an impressive skill set, a humble attitude, and a unique mind that allows him to draw parallels between what others would consider vastly distinct disciplines. We look forward to learning from him as we continue expanding the Level platform to better serve our partners in the future.
