SHARKPUNKS SOS AMA RECAP
The AMA kickstarted earlier today at exactly 14:00PM UTC with Cookies, ayoki and The Great Dictator LevX as hosts. It was a very interesting session that tackled questions regarding the SOS, the gaming concept behind Sharkpunks and most importantly the farm.
The purpose of this article is to bring those who missed the event to speed and also to better explain missed/skipped details to those who were present at the AMA.
Shark Knowledge
The plan to make Sharkpunks a household name is in progress. With the implementation of rarities, metaverse and the farm. Partners will be drawn to this new tool and it will help elevate things up from there.
The decision for sigmoid function as pricing mechanism was introduced because it will be a great help to Sharks’ SOS and also the Yield Farming. Its price goes up in the beginning in an accelerating pace until half of the quantity is sold. However, in a latter stage, its velocity gets smoothened. Making the medium price 43 ETH and the final price 96ETH.

Varieties of Sharks
There are different types of Shark to be found in SharkCity. A few good examples are the Armored Sharks, Farm Sharks and Retro Sharks. It was gathered in the AMA that there might be a possibility of merging normal Sharks and Retro Sharks in the nearest future. There would be a proposal for votes soon to know what the community feels about this idea.
The Concept of Shark Gaming
The Shark Game will be a pokemon style RPG game where one can either play solo or with friends. The idea is for the gamer to wander the map in search of monsters (humans) and use their skills to defeat them; part of their goal is to recapture SharkCity from humans. The higher the level, the higher the monsters’ powers. Gamers would be able to level up their Sharks in terms of strength and weapons, grow their Sharks in the process and also build their houses in SharkCity. These are the main concept of the game.
Furthermore, the ultimate goal remains is to be the land owner of a castle, collect fees and rule the area by acquiring one of the 69 rarest Retro Sharks.
The Shark Game will be live on zkSync. $LEVX OHGEEZ will get 10% for every purchase of items and gears in the game. The game cannot be played without the NFT.
Welcome to Farm
It is vital to know that Yield Farming will be live on L1 and SharkCity on L2. The SharkCity game will read data from L1 (staked sharks)and will provide it for the staker on L2.
There are a total number of 402 retro Shark cards. 69 of which won’t be minted publicly; they will be used in the metaverse/game to be the ultimate goal for gamers. The 69 Retro Shark holders will get huge benefits like becoming the land owner of a castle where they will be able to accumulate fees in that area amongst other perks.
The first 333 minted SharkPunks won’t have 15X APY as this is meant for Retro Sharks. They will randomly be mixed across the whole collection.
Basepower
The base power of Sharks is not determined by their APY boosts. It is determined by the amount of veLEVX locked and those numbers are the multiplying factors. If 1 LEVX is staked by a Retro Shark holder, its effect is the is the same as 15 LEVX for non-boosted NFTS.
Partnerships
For talks about partnership, there are ongoing discussions with zkPunks which have over 6K+ holders. If it goes well, it will be a massive step to the growth of our ecosystem.
There are also talks with other projects which are not yet revealed as no conclusion has been reached yet. The community will be informed of every successful partnership when conclusions have been made.
