Is the Government allowing asylum seekers to work?

There are about 400 asylum seekers that came to Australia from Nauru or Manus for medical reasons.

The Government can’t send them back to Nauru or Manus, yet the Government also has a stance where no one coming by boat is allowed to be settled in Australia. The Government is in a tricky spot.

As such, the government has given them a Final Departure Bridging Visa ‘E’, which also happens to include work rights.

Could this be a cover for the Government to leave them in Australia, without actually saying it?
