A T(V) party is just one of many choices at this refurbished icon!

Boston’s long and storied maritime history is as rich and compelling as that of any North American port. Located at the confluence of the Charles and Mystic rivers, Boston’s seaport has welcomed Atlantic-going clippers and schooners since 1630; has been home to colonial, revolutionary and later US naval fleets; hosted regattas and races; and was the site of the most consequential tea party ever. Beyond history, Boston and the sea are inextricably linked in culture, cuisine and the buildings that give shape to the skyline and shoreline.

Among those shoreline buildings, the newly completed Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is a portrait of modernism, elegance and efficiency. Located in the heart of the Seaport District and adjacent to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is close to downtown Boston and Logan Airport, making it the perfect base for business travelers, convention-goers and tourists. The hotel features 1,054 guestrooms, including 52 suites, and 100,000 square feet of flexible function space.

“Boston derives such a strong identity from its history, people and culture,” explains Michael Jorgensen, Managing Director at Omni Boston Seaport. “It requires a special property to manifest the identity, and to transport guests somewhere very special but also help them feel as comfortable as they would at home. I think the hotel achieves this and, as a result, we have a guest experience that is both uniquely Boston, but also worldly in scope.”

Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport channels culture artfully. The design of the Artist Tower features clean lines and openness of an artist’s loft, whereas guest rooms in the Patron Tower borrow inspiration from the city’s performing arts pedigree. Guestrooms throughout the property feature LG 65US770H 65-inch hospitality televisions and LG 55US770H 55-inch hospitality televisions with smaller format LG 49US770H and 43UT670H deployed as additional televisions in the suites. Shared spaces including lobbies, bars and restaurants feature LG’s flagship 75US770H 75-inch hospitality televisions and a diverse array of LG digital signage displays.

Commenting on the deployment, Eric Neilson, Senior Account Manager, LG Electronics USA, Inc. Commercial Displays Division, notes that the array of LG televisions and displays is matched by the scale of support LG provides the property. “Partnership is central to LG’s brand offering. We want to understand our customers’ business and how televisions, servers and signage displays can advance the guest experience and the operational efficiency of the property. If we can have good-looking, high performing televisions; improved personalization, entertainment, and aesthetics in each guestroom; and displays that inform and entertain in the shared spaces backed by some of the industry’s leading warranties and support, then we’re doing our job and providing the depth of partnership that clients like Omni expect.”

Mr. Jorgensen agrees. “The LG televisions — especially the remarkable 75US770H hospitality televisions — complete the purposeful vision of this property. They look like art pieces, perform beautifully and are tremendously reliable and low-maintenance. I appreciate that Eric and his team make the effort to learn about our vision and our business and then come up with a concierge-grade solution that support us in a tactile manner.”

Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport hosts seven distinct dining experiences including Kestra which offers upscale all-day Mediterranean-American dining; Basque Country-inspired Coquette offering fresh seafood, a hot-and-cold raw bar, flatbreads, and upscale libations; Cocorico, a French-style boulangerie; The Sporting Club which has become a staple of tastemakers, urbanites, and sports fans seeking locally and globally inspired crafted food, small and shareable plates, specialty cocktails with a refined twist; Lifted Pool Bar; Crescendo lobby bar; and Legato coffee shop. The property also features a 3,000 sq. ft. 24-hour fitness center, a rooftop pool and sundeck, and the world-class full-service Breve Spa — the perfect choice for wind-downs from days packed with meetings and exhibitions in the hotel’s flexible indoor and outdoor meeting/event space.

Peter Strebel, president of Omni Hotels & Resorts, believes the diversity of Boston’s unique identity is reflected in the diversity of the hotel’s offerings. “We know what a wonderful, dynamic city Boston is and we’ve sought to make the property an ideal base for all kinds of travelers and guests to explore; and should the inclination exist or the winter weather suggest, a guest could spend an entire trip at the hotel enjoying the amenities and not get bored. I see that as a strong testament to the planners and the staff of a hotel!”

As winter comes to the Seaport and crowds begin returning to the theaters, museums, historical trails and convention centers close by, The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is primed to welcome guests in resurgent numbers and become the place where a new Boston memories and histories are created.
