A phrase that has always resonated with me is, “It’s not a solution if you can’t afford it.” I think the reason why it sticks with me is because a solution, by definition, needs to be holistic and considerate of all the environmental, commercial, financial, and technological variables. Fall short on one variable and you’re no longer an answer for client queries — and maybe you’re no longer the preferred vendor!

LG hospitality televisions are designed to look great, to enhance the guest experience and to advance operational efficiency with reliability. The LG Pro:Centric platform supports branding, personalization, guest access to content and business efficiency. And LG’s Interactive Electronic Program Guide (EPG) sets the threshold of guest expectation for interactivity and ease of use.

These discrete areas of expertise differentiate LG as the leading solutions provider to the North America hospitality community. Coupled with our matchless sales and support organization, EPG and LG Pro:Centric are even more useful for systems integrators and hospitality managers seeking a comprehensive solution.

But if they’re not affordable, does LG televisions + Pro:Centric + EPG + team = solution?

My answer will always be no. We need to make the numbers work for resellers, integrators, property owners and operators if we are to offer a total, viable solution. This is why LG offers free EPG and Pro:Centric server programs to complement hospitality televisions and our hospitality organization.

Other brands charge $25-$50 EPG license fees per television per year, which over the life of the television in a 200-guestroom property could add up to $100,000!

That certainly is not my definition of a solution.
