LG Introduces Autonomous Robot with Disinfecting UV-C Light

The new LG CLOi Autonomous UV-C Robot is expected to enable a new standard of hygiene for commercial environments by automatically disinfecting high-touch, high-traffic areas. The autonomous robot will move easily around tables, chairs and other furniture to irradiate and disinfect a room’s touchable surfaces in minutes. It will be capable of disinfecting multiple areas on a single battery charge. The new addition of LG’s CLOi Family of Robots is engineered to be easy to operate and can be integrated into already established cleaning routines without requiring extensive staff training or specialists for operation.

Staff can easily monitor progress via remote updates to smartphones or tablets while employee exposure to UV rays is kept to a minimum through a built-in safety lock activated by human detection sensors, an emergency button or via the mobile application.
