Post-pandemic business has been characterized by uncertainty. The Great Resignation, supply chain constraints, surges in demand for certain consumer markets, upticks in outbreaks and accompanying regulation, and a general dynamism in global business and geopolitics have had investors and hospitality business leaders scratching their heads as to what is next and what is possible.

Manufacturers have been navigating similar uncertainty. Within the manufacturing community, the difference between a vendor and partner is becoming vast. A partner is vested in the long-term relationship and will help shoulder responsibility to address change, whereas a vendor will be more transactional and trade in near-term commodities.

At LG, we seek to be squarely and prominently positioned in the partner camp! A big part of that is how we work closely with our Systems Integrator (“SI’s”) channel partners here in North America to transmit new innovations from the factory into real-world solutions that are customized for North American hospitality clients in this market. These solutions reflect the uniqueness of the North America market and provide hospitality clients with performance that elevates the guest experience. And while intentions are important, I am proud that LG meets intent with actions and provides clients in the hospitality trade with deep partnerships from an organizational, people and product perspective. Put most simply, you can count on us!

We’re consistently told by customers and partners that our systems “just work!” and that’s part of our long-term commitment to the industry and our partnerships. We’ve spent many years developing tools within commercial televisions to assist systems integrator channel partners and customers in their installation, maintenance and support of systems. No one wants the inconvenient and time-consuming job of visiting rooms to modify settings on a television to make channel line-up changes or software updates. Tools like EZManager for guided installation set-up, remote software download and TV configuration from a centralized server are all the product of LG’s in-market engineering team working closely with customers to design solutions that address market realities. Also, consider the market-proven reliability of LG televisions and Pro:Centric server systems that have consistently operated in the field for many years (in some cases since 2011!) in thousands of properties — a true testament to LG reliability.

As documented in the previous issue of The Check In, we have a great, stable team of hospitality professionals who are committed to serving the US hospitality community.
