Fiction & Folx: Post-Thanksgiving
Parenting Horrors, Penises and Entitlement, Trans Awareness Week, & a Vampire Short

Hello, Fabulous Friends!
November has flown by for me. And the latest newsletter is out now!
I did some mini-interviews for the week of Transgender Awareness. If you didn’t get the chance to see them, I shared them on my private Facebook Group that you can check out here. It was wonderful to speak with these individuals who shared such personal details about their lives because of their belief that understanding encourages empathy and equality.
My heart has felt heavy the last couple of weeks with all the writing I’ve done for the Transgender Day of Remembrance. It’s difficult for me to read such horrors that plague such an already marginalized group in order to do the research needed for such articles. Coming to terms with such a reality casts a dark shadow over my thoughts.
So I tried to focus on the joy of spending time with my little family around the table for Thanksgiving this year. We didn’t want to travel to see extended family due to COVID so we didn’t go anywhere. But it was still a blessed day with my loved ones at home. I hope you enjoyed your turkey-day in a similar fashion.
The Latest Fiction & Folx Newsletter
Did you know you can have Fiction & Folx sent right to your inbox twice a month to get all the latest from me? It includes parenting stuff (advice and mishaps), LGBTQIA culture pieces, and fiction fun — I’m a sucker for a good short story.
This issue covers parenting horrors, penises and entitlement, and a vampire short.
