The LGO team attended the Blockchain Expo Europe @ RAI, Amsterdam on June 27th and 28th as part of our ongoing international roadshow, which began in South Korea in March, followed by the London Blockchain Expo in April. Similarly to our previous stops, Amsterdam was a very successful trip for the LGO team!

Fruitful Conferences and Meetings

The first day of the event was focused on blockchain and its use cases in traditional corporations and engineering firms. Many interesting individuals paid us a visit and we had many qualitative exchanges with the attendees.

Most of the clients that our Business Development Manager, Douglas Bilyk, spoke with were very curious about the main differences between LGO and other established crypto exchanges. We were able to directly address every question about our project, which lead to many fruitful discussions.

The first day was also a good opportunity to connect with ICO participants who were interested in our progress.

The second day of the conference was more focused on the financial sector, with panels involving traditional banks and discussions regarding ICOs and crypto asset management. Clients who attended this second day were mainly crypto asset managers, market makers and firms who communicated their interest to list their tokens on our exchange.

It was very satisfying to see that so many of the attendees were interested in our approach to providing institutional investors with exposure to digital assets in a way that current exchanges are not able to replicate. We received very positive feedback from everyone who the team spoke with and made several significant connections.

The Blockchain Expo also presented the opportunity to meet with specialized journalists. We got several interviews including one with Bitcoin.com, who met with our Head of Sales and Investor Relations Kimley Kadoche on “Why Institutional Money is coming and what this means for Bitcoin.”

Just like the Blockchain Expo in London, Amsterdam was a great opportunity for us to grow our network, which is essential for our upcoming platform launch!

Panel Discussions

Moreover, Kimley was invited to speak on the Panel “Future of Crypto Finance” on Cryptofinance and ICO Strategies along with Vicken Kaprelian, the CEO of Hedpay, and Mati Greenspan, Senior Market Analyst of eToro.

The main objective of the panel was to explore whether or not the SEC will have a significant impact on banks and financial institutions’ willingness to accept and adopt crypto assets. Furthermore, they assessed the impact that those financial institutions will have on crypto markets if they were to enter the game.

Kimley highlighted the fact that cryptocurrencies were already becoming a component of the global economy, illustrated by the example of Venezuela, that began to mine bitcoin as the country’s inflation rate reached 400% last year.

Once again, meeting members of our european community has been truly exciting. The enthusiasm we observe from our peers towards our project is always a source of strength and inspiration for us. In addition, meeting with potential partners and clients reinforced our convictions regarding the future of LGO. We would like to thank you all for the warm welcome!

Our roadshow is not yet finished; our next destination is Beyond Blocks Summit in Seoul, South Korea on July 17th and 18th! Stay tuned!

LGO Group’s mission is to build confidence in all stages of a crypto-asset’s life: from creation to sale, promotion, acquisition, storage and use.

Our ambition is global. We want to enable large financial institutions the ability to trade cryptocurrencies with complete confidence and trust, while providing retail investors an identical secure framework.
