Welcome to Malibu, California! The paradise of Los Angeles as some would call it. Malibu is home to some of the top seafood dives in all of Southern California. With restaurants like Neptune’s Net, Gladstones, Malibu Seafood, or Duke’s you can’t go wrong with any of the options. However, there is one that is consistently left out, Reel Inn.

Reel Inn, located along PCH south of Malibu, was established in 1986 just after the “Great Fire” of Los Angeles. Not only are they known for their mouth watering food, but the scenic aspect of Reel Inn is almost unbeatable. While sitting outside on the patio you are blessed with the best of both worlds. To one side, you can catch wildlife roaming the hills of Topanga Canyon and on the other you can watch the surf roll onto the shore.

Back Patio

Where Reel Inn stands out the most is its unique style. It’s retro, surf-shack style welcomes anyone and everyone. Once you walk through the door the vibe represents a small beach town dive that allows an escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Inside Seating

Now to the food! Aside from their weekly fish taco and fish and chip specials, Reel Inn is known for “The Catch of The Day”. This is a daily fish special that is served fresh upon the customer’s request any day of the week. If you are a first timer I recommend the Huevos Rancheros for brunch or the Fish and Chips for lunch/dinner. If you have been before you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. They also have vegetarian for those who prefer!

If you have been dying to try something new, we recommend Reel Inn: A quick drive to a glimpse of paradise and a great meal. Also, there is a link below in case we left anything out!
