Israeli Society Is Worse Than Nazi Germany
Zeteo’s documentary “Israel’s Reel Extremism” makes a compelling case
On the 29th of July we bore witness to scenes of Israeli settlers and soldiers protesting for the right to rape Palestinian hostages in their torture camps.
We watched as army police, attempting to arrest officers accused of raping hostages, were vehemently and aggressively opposed by both IOF soldiers and settlers (although if anyone can explain the exact difference between these two I’d greatly appreciate it).
In the context of the IOF, this in itself might be shocking but sadly not surprising. “The Most Moral Army in the World” has a long, documented, horrendous history of torturing, imprisoning and killing Palestinians.
But what made this especially significant was what happened in the immediate aftermath.
Because the response from the Israeli public destroyed the illusion, once and for all, that there was ever a separation between the supremacist settler mindset of the right wing state, and broader Israeli society.
They are one and the same.
