On New Year’s Eve 2023, South Africa launched a case with The Hague, asserting that Israel is committing genocide.
The ICJ’s response in February was to order Israel to “take all measures to prevent any acts contrary to the 1948 Genocide Convention” which is the equivalent of saying “Israel, roll back on the violence or you may be guilty of committing genocide”.
When Israel showed absolutely no indication of slowing the carnage down, the ICJ issued another order in March, telling the Zionist Entity “to ensure basic food supplies, without delay, as Gazans face famine and starvation”.
This is the world’s top legal institution telling Israel to stop starving the Gazans. Did Israel comply? Of course not.
On 24 May, by 13 votes to two, the court ordered an immediate halt to Israel’s offensive in Rafah. Did the Zionazis heed that order?
Did they fuck.
Meanwhile every humanitarian aid group and every charity has been screaming from the rooftops that Israel is committing genocide. Human Rights Watch founder Aryeh Neier, himself a Holocaust survivor, has explicitly called it genocide.
