A friendly reminder that many of the most important decisions such as who are Libertarian Party Candidates such as POTUS or what is the platform are not decided by leadership but by YOU, the members.

You don’t need to suggest me who you want is a candidate, who the party should support, or what the platform should be cause I have no say beyond a vote as a potential delegate, and I don’t plan on influencing anyone in regard to who should get the nomination or platform changes. All I hope to do is offer advice to all candidates and members on the process and help facilitate the process so everyone has a chance of getting the candidates and platform changes they may want to pursue.

If you have a candidate you like or want there is two things YOU need to do:

  • Get involved in your state party and learn how to become a delegate to the 2020 convention (every State is different)
  • Convince the candidate of your choosing to run and help them have a presence at state conventions where likely delegates will be.
  • For platform changes you need to be involved in the platform committee (ask your state how) or advocate to those who are. Don’t get upset if they don’t just automatically embrace your suggestion, people care very deeply about every word in the platform and having the debate in the committee saves time at the convention.

The candidate with the most supporters doing these things will likely win because you chose them.
