If Men Get Viagra, Shouldn’t Women Get Abortion Pills?
These strange bedfellows turn out to be perfect mates, if you dare to look closely

“If we don’t get abortion pills, they don’t get Viagra.”
I saw the comment on one of my TikTok posts and shouted “Fuck yes!” into the quiet of my workspace. I don’t know exactly what the commenter meant by it, but it felt like an excellent philosophical point to me.
I wanted to highlight this beautiful bumper sticker demand for sexual equality, so I made a video response to the comment simply pointing at it and nodding my head with an audio clip of applause.
Over the course of the next 36 hours, the video racked up nearly 2,000 views, and inspired a flood of misogynistic comments from Red Pill bros and the anti-abortion crowd. At least half of the almost 300 comments were targeted at me, the dumb, ancient, snowflake, Karen-slut who hadn’t yet figured out she was too old to get dick, as well as too old to need abortion pills if by some miracle, she could get it. (Fuck you, assholes, I know at least six men in their seventies who are dying to fuck me.*)
The rest of them, however, were digs at women, in general, positioning us as vacuous whores who can’t keep our legs together long enough to make responsible choices…like, you know, not murdering their babies.
And then there were the incredulous questions like, “How can you compare a pill for boners with a pill that’s used for committing felonies?” or “Are you truly this stupid, girlie? Can you really be so dumb as to compare Viagra with abortion pills?”
I’d like to think that these ideologies belonged to a fringe demographic. Unfortunately, the sheer number of them (so many that I finally had to turn off the comments), makes me suspect that this is not fringe, after all. People don’t see the correlation. They genuinely didn’t understand the point…
Babies or Boners?
This seemed to be one of the biggest points of contention. You can’t compare babies to boners, for god’s sake! Only a woman would be so illogical!
But this isn’t a comparison between babies and boners, now, is it? Babies are fully developed living…
