I’ve Figured Out the Secret of Men

Hint: It was never about women, at all…

I’ve done it. I have solved the mystery of men. Or perhaps you could say the inner workings of dominance hierarchies. But in this case, I’ll be talking specifically about men in a patriarchal system.

I think I kinda understood this already, but it’s only become more clear to me in recent weeks, particularly since I wrote about how having daughters doesn’t, in general, make men more empathetic toward women (as we tend to inaccurately assume).

It’s hard to describe how much this epiphany has affected my outlook. The clarity and peace it has brought me has been profound.

And I think it’s something we are all going to have to understand if we have any hope of moving forward as a species.

Men are socially conditioned to hate women and all things femme. No, this isn’t the secret of men that I’ve figured out — it’s not a secret, after all. We know this because we see it everywhere. After the 2024 American election, that hatred is so obvious, only fools and liars would deny its existence.

However, this isn’t the driving force for men that we have come to believe. This isn’t what pushes the patriarchy forward and helps keep it thriving. Sure, it’s a critical factor, but it’s not the foundation of the…
