Liberty Gaming Comes Third in MetaOasis Gaming Tournament
Liberty Elites put in a solid performance beating out many other guilds to take a top 3 spot!
A short time ago, we partnered with the next-gen game publishing platform, MetaOasis, in a collaboration that we believe will help further our goal of bridging the gap between web2 and web3 gamers. If you missed that announcement, you can read more about it here.
In preparation for their new gaming addition, Light Chaser, MetaOasis decided to run a ‘test to earn’ campaign, inviting many guilds and their members to play the public beta version of the game, compete and win some huge prizes! Light Chaser is a single-player shooter that allows players to pilot various spacecraft in a fast-paced, high-octane environment. Created by Fun Wave Studios, Light Chaser becomes one of the first few games to be published on the platform, alongside Emergence and Embassy Planet, with many more to join!
The tournament consisted of twelve guilds and hundreds of individual players competing for a $200k prize pool! The format was that guild members would participate in the game, and their scores would be recorded and accumulated. At the end of the competition window, the guild would be ranked by the total scores of its members.
After an intense week of hardcore gaming, we are delighted to announce that our fantastic guild team, the ‘Liberty Elites’, managed to propel Liberty Gaming into the top 3 guilds, netting us one of the top prizes, 10 Genesis NFT Flagships worth $50,000! We’ve always known that our guild and its incredibly talented members are exceptional, and this has just shown it once again. We are very proud of the Liberty Gaming Family today, and we know you guys will continue to make us proud in the future.

On a final note regarding the exceptional team chosen to represent Liberty Gaming in the tournament, over the coming weeks, we’ll be interviewing a number of key members in our regular Community Focus interview series to give first-hand insight into tournament gaming!
This prize is looking to be used in a number of ways that will enable us to further grow Liberty Gaming to improve the lives of not only our current members but to be able to support many new members and scholars in the future. GameFi is the future, and we cannot wait to introduce many more people around the world to its possibilities.
