Welcome to License to Chill (LTC). We’re so glad to have you here. We began this publication because we were tired of being inundated with hustle advice.

Our feeds were full of productivity advice, and we were a bit tired. We were ready to relax a bit more and watch the sunset. We’re ready for a roadtrip, and we’re prepared to see the sights.

Slow down, celebrate with friends, and have a look around.

What we’re looking to publish

We want to hear how you slow down and celebrate life. Do you walk your neighborhood daily? Have a crazy birthday celebration or favorite time of year? Do you have matching pajamas with your dog?

Tell us about it. Why do you love it? How does it enrich your life?

Articles should have an actionable takeaway for the reader. Steer clear of diary-entry-type pieces.

We love to read kind articles.

What has changed you, inspired you, or recharged you?

What we don’t publish

We’re not looking to publish articles about sex, tech, or politics.

We do not post fiction or negative rants.

LTC will not publish any negative -ism or -phobia articles. It’s always a good idea to read what’s been published recently on our site.

We advise all writers to join the Medium Partner Program (MPP). This will ensure your articles are behind the paywall, and you can get paid for your work as it is read within the platform.

A small group of people runs LTC, so please be patient as we review each draft. We will get back to you regarding your submission.

Before submitting your article, please review these best practices and ensure your piece meets the following requirements.

  1. Titles should be in title case, and subtitles in sentence case.
  2. Feature images should be placed below the title & subtitle and have proper credit to the artist.
  3. Avoid large walls of text. Use page breaks, headings for sections, or pull quotes to help guide the reader down the page.
  4. Give your article an edit using a tool like Grammarly or Hemingway Editor.
  5. Make sure your private note setting is on.

The following article is an excellent read by Kelly Eden. She shares her best tips for publishing polished work.

Note: We cannot guarantee that we’ll publish what you send us. Every piece of writing is carefully reviewed to ensure it meets LTC and Medium standards.

We want your articles to get read by the masses. Following the guidelines here will give your writing a better chance of getting read.

Send Submissions Here

Please send an email with your draft link to kit.campoy.writer@gmail.com

The title of the email should include, “Pitch — LTC — Title of article.”

We’ll get back to you with a response in four days. We don’t read submissions on Saturday and Sunday.

Thank you for your interest in License to Chill.
We can’t wait to read your articles.
