Often the lying we do to others is also the lying we do to ourselves. So, we are really not trying to deceive others, since we believe the lies we are telling ourselves. Our motive is often community membership, or what George Washington called “faction or party” in his Farewell Address on leaving the Presidency.

These are still lies, folks. They can be, and often are, pernicious and should be socially unacceptable. However, they are not intended lies. The method of the Internet Court of Lies teases these different types of lies apart. It does not try people, it tries the lies themselves. These lies are quite often fiat lies. Sadly. And ..

There is science here. It is the study of paths of deceit in mendaciology, and it can be predicted through the paths of our lives like we predict the weather where we live…
