A Cognitive Science Response to a Mathematician’s View of Fascism

My basic reaction to the following very fine article is to ask what do you mean by the term “mathematics”?

I kind of like the view expressed here:

Which basically says that it is up for discussion since no one seems to agree.

However, in my world of computational cognitive neuroscience, the world of Descartes (‘I think therefore I am’), mathematics is simply ways to arrange predications such that truth or lies (or, if you want to mangle the term “lies” just use the falsehood “falsehoods”) contrast cognized truth with cognized deceit.
