Changing Faces

We are all complex and wear many faces

We switch when need, to fit in different places

We tend to expose them in different ways

In moments of crisis, on our best and worst days

Who are we really if not the sum of our parts

With all of our feelings, flaws and smarts

To love someone, you must love them all

Both through their summer and also their fall

We exist on a spectrum and not in single shades

So why make things black and white and not notice the greys

We are legion, we are many, many pieces make us whole

All these things that make us special also make up our soul.
