Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day

How can one poem fit all that I have to say

You’ve been in my life since my eyes first were open

I was blessed with your looks, smarts and wisdom (I’m hoping)

As I’ve grown through the years you’ve always been there

Offering words of encouragement and the occasional prayer

You’ve picked me up when I was down and had no one.

You’ve fed my stomach and soul when I thought I was done

You’ve always been a role model to me, a bastion of womanhood

I knew when I found a partner I’d have no choice but to treat her good

So on this Sunday I celebrate your glory

I love you dearly and my life will always be part of your story.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
