Reunion

First of all, you look great

Even though I haven’t seen you in years

We’ve grown a lot over time

We’ve had wins, losses, hopes and fears

I didn’t know you missed me

I didn’t know you thought about me over the years

I had no idea of the person you’d become

Or when secretly you shed tears

I hope we stay in touch this time

But I won’t be mad if not

I hope that you enjoy this rhyme

I hope that we’re both still hot

You reminded me how far we’ve come

And how far we’ve yet to go

So don’t worry if you find this dumb

By our next reunion, I’ll be a pro.
