Second Chances

*for a friend*

Should I stay or should I go?

Is this worth giving a chance

Should I let bygones be bygones

Was that swan song our last dance

The grass is always greener elsewhere

So should I seek another field?

I’ve given you the green light

So why do you stop and yield?

Is this worth saving?

Or has the moment left

Should we face this together

Or separately be bereft?

Curiosity kills feline and man alike,

Love also leaves many fallen

Should we drive in this last spike

or push our luck and go all in?
