The final stage of this process is known as the rubedo stage, which represents the culmination of the alchemical transformation and the emergence of the true self.

The rubedo stage is often described as the stage of spiritual awakening and rebirth, where the alchemist transcends the limitations of the ego and realizes their true nature. This stage involves the integration of the opposites, the union of the conscious and unconscious, and the emergence of a new level of consciousness.

In the context of psychotherapy, the rubedo stage represents the culmination of the therapeutic process, where the client achieves a greater sense of wholeness and self-awareness.

During a session with a Jungian psychotherapist, the rubedo stage may manifest in various ways. The therapist may notice a significant shift in the client’s awareness and perspective, indicating a greater sense of self-awareness and a deeper understanding of their unconscious.

The client may express a sense of inner peace and acceptance, indicating that they have integrated their shadow aspects and accepted their true nature.
