Books Be My Guide

Back at home in the Philippines I have a lot of books. Fiction. Non-fiction. I even have collections of magazine collecting dust in my cabinets. I fell in love at first with the books of John Grisham and John Saul. Then Stephen King. Then other authors. Coelho. Sheldon. So many others that followed.
Books taught me many things. It brought me to different places that I wish I could be. And so reading ushered me to travel too. I have written in my some of my blogs some of my travel adventure. Books also changed my perspective. Philosophy of Sartre and Russell mostly influenced me. I had also books on economics.

And since I had left my copy in my country in the Philippines I had bought this one book — actually my favorite of all time — here in Jarir Bookstore in Dammam. And maybe this week I will start re-reading it once again for the nth time. Most of my books back home were being lend to others. I had opened their eyes too in reading those wonderful stories and some book of tips. I know somehow I took some effect on their lives even in those little ways.

I still preferred to read books and flipped the pages in this hard copy as compared to ebooks available online. I still took pride in buying and carrying those heavy books and read them sometimes all at once in a given week.
