1. Why do you want to write it

First of all, it is important to ask yourself why you want to write the article.

• Do you want to learn something new by writing about it?
• Improve your writing skills?
• Or share your knowledge with others?

Having a clear goal and understanding of the message you want to convey to your audience will help you narrow down your topic.

2. Write now, edit later

When you have a topic in mind, don’t wait for the right time to start. Brainstorm your ideas and then write them down. Don’t expect your first draft to be perfect, aim for progress instead. It is easier to edit a mass of text than try to write a masterpiece from a blank page. You can always edit your work later.
