When Radityo Wibowo (also known as Dito) began his journey as a Product Manager, GOJEK was already growing rapidly. Unaware of this, his mother would tell friends that Dito was working at a management consulting firm, not GOJEK. How things have changed since then.

Initially, Dito never imagined his work would have a significant impact on Indonesians. That perception changed on one of the days GOJEK experienced a system outage.

Dito and his team were sitting at a shoe store near the office, when some people approached him and complained that they could not make an order. Later, Dito found out the issue was caused by the way GOJEK sent orders to the driver. When he gave it some thought, he realised the current approach was simply not scalable.

“I didn’t know whether I could actually build a business from scratch with my own two hands, and GOJEK has basically forced me to prove that I can do that.”

The team got to work and the system was restored. For Dito, that experience served as proof that the work he and his team do every day impacts people’s lives significantly.

Today, GOJEK has more than 300,000 merchants and is one of the largest food tech players in the world. GO-PAY manages more than 30% of overall e-transactions in Indonesia. We have more than a million drivers and a beautifully crafted ecosystem for people to earn a better daily wage.
