As part of strengthening the commitment in supporting our micro, small, and medium food enterprises (MSMEs) to scale up their businesses, GO-FOOD held a one-year culinary festival or so-called GO-FOOD Festival (GFF) in 14 locations across Indonesia, “Until present, there are 14 GFF, but we are targeting up to 100 more locations of GFF for the end of the year”, said Brata Santoso, VP of Operations and Business Development for GFF.

Alongside to support our MSMEs to scale up their business’ growth, GFF is also a platform which provides our MSMEs with cooking facilities and a complimentary food-business development program such as inventory management or food styling lesson.

The first GFF was held in Pasaraya Blok M, Jakarta, with 24 GO-FOOD merchant partners involved to celebrate the festival, there are 500 GO-FOOD merchant partners involved in GFF across Indonesia.

Have you tried Thank Thai, Mom Mom Yam, or Cireng Krispi? They are 3 GO-FOOD merchant partners, which grew significantly thanks to GFF! To maintain its dynamic and diverse ambience, each GFF won’t always have the same merchant partners.

Along with supporting our merchant partners, GFF is also a platform for food enthusiasts who love to discover the latest trends while enjoying the company of their friends and family. Visitors are between 17–40 years old.

As per July 2018, the offline and online transactions in all GFF locations reached more than 500 thousands transactions with 20 thousand average visitors per day. Oh, have we told you that the GFF purchase method is using the GO-PAY QR code? Indeed, it makes us easier to buy and enjoy the foods immediately.

Indeed, laughter is brightest where food tends to be. Thus, GFF is also a great platform to celebrate our diverse group of communities by giving them a space to explore their interests and strengthen the sense of togetherness between them. Right now, there are more than 180 communities, signed up to hold a gathering event in GFF venues.

Some communities have enjoyed GFF as the venue of of their community gatherings, such as We The Youth which held a Pattern Illustration Making workshop, a Yoga Class by Sana Studio, a workshop by Mapan, and a gathering event by the Scooter Jam community.

With the GFF, we believe that through a satisfying culinary experience, we could support our local food MSMEs to scale up their businesses.
