What sets Motive’s sales organization apart from any other company?
Culture is extremely important to us, but the concept is flooded with buzzwords and vague statements. Company culture is owned by all of our teammates. It’s shaped by our employees and evolves and grows along with the new people we hire every day.

Nishay Batool — Senior Manager, SMB Sales speaks about her journey at Motive.
Nishay’s Journey with Motive
“Five years ago, I started as an individual contributor in the Very Small Business (VSB) segment and became a front-line manager two years later. Two months later we initiated Motive’s first OutBound (OB) project. Once proven, I was asked to replicate the model and expand Motive’s OutBound (OB) operations to Lahore where I trained, facilitated, and mentored the first handful of sales teams. I was then promoted to senior manager in the innovation segment and we now have four new senior managers (leading multiple teams) under my leadership. I’m excited to learn and grow in this new role. I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve received here and the mentorship from my senior director that allows me to constantly evolve.”
What’s it like being a part of a growing sales organization?
“It’s an exciting time at Motive as the rebranding itself has opened up Pandora’s box of unique opportunities for growth. With each new opportunity, the sales organization doubles down on headcount as it works on bringing one-of-a-kind products to each and everyone that benefits from them. Motive is working on addressing the needs of the physical economy and our sales team is on the hunt to unravel the next significant source of revenue to ensure the wheel keeps on reinventing. This is a testament to the immense opportunity for growth as a salesperson at Motive. Whether you’re looking to excel as an individual contributor or interested in leading multiple teams to success- everyone has an opportunity to grow and excel at Motive.“
What advice could you give to those starting their sales career at Motive?
“The formula to excel at sales is simple — be sure to absorb as much as possible during the training period. Build on the product knowledge gained during training by utilizing the tools and resources provided by the organization in order to get a firm grip on the product and the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool. Once you have the basics in line, trust in the process and KPIs Motive has in place. These matrices have been meticulously designed to set you up for success. Don’t hesitate to tap into Motive’s hivemind, i.e., feel free to reach out to anyone for support, and don’t limit yourself to your team alone. Collaboration is the key to ultimate success. Learn from every successful contributor and figure out what works best for you.”
How has Motive helped you grow?
“Motive has offered me the needed experience and learning to grow as an individual. I have been blessed with the right kind of leadership that mentored me to seek the opportunities Motive offered. More than anything, I believe Motive not only recognizes your efforts but offers you an unbiased route to higher opportunities.”
Can you explain the onboarding and sales training at Motive?
“We have a four-week training program that enables you to kick-start your sales career at Motive. It’s an extensive training period consisting of product learning, demo practice, CRM adaptation, and mock calls. The onboarding involves a supportive environment whereby the management and team offer assistance and coaching for an additional one month. A buddy system allows an individual performing contributor to the new hire to ensure a successful onboarding experience.”
