Motive at AFROTECH22

This month, our team had the honor of attending and sponsoring the largest black professional conference: AfroTech in Austin, Texas. This particular event is about bridging the worlds of afro-technologists, innovators, investors, corporations, musicians, and everyone in between.

Being that we’re a remote-first team, we enjoy having the opportunity to network with top talent from across the world. Over the course of four days, our tech leaders and employee resource group members had the privilege of joining exclusive panels and discussions on the hottest trends with leaders in professional development, entertainment, engineering, NFTs, cryptocurrency, and Web3. There was a chance to participate and learn for everyone, regardless of their background.

Afrotech demonstrates not only what it means to have a seat at the table, but also how we can make room for others by pulling up chairs. Black professionals from all over the world were able to connect and share knowledge without the pressure of assimilation. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2023!
