At KeepTruckin, we recognize Pride Month as a celebration of self-love, authenticity, and acceptance, as well as justice and equality for all. It is of the utmost importance to the entire executive team that each and every employee at KeepTruckin feels comfortable being who they are at work. In fact, we believe that creating diverse and inclusive teams is what will help us adapt, innovate, and grow to be a generational company that far surpasses our competitors. “Embrace Diversity” is a core company value that remains paramount to us and should be demonstrated on a daily basis by each and every one of us.

We have already begun implementing specific strategies to continue to promote an inclusive and welcoming environment for all employees.

Here’s some of what we’re already doing:

  • Guidelines in place that explicitly prohibit discrimination.
  • Established our KTProud Employee Resource Group which aims to celebrate L.G.B.T.Q.I.A.+ identifying people within the larger KeepTruckin Community to break stigmas and foster a healthy culture of growth and connection at KeepTruckin.
  • Advocating for LGBTQIA+ diversity, inclusion, and allyship all year long so our employees feel empowered to bring their full selves to work every day.
  • We are a proud member of the Business Coalition for the Equality Act in partnership with the Human Rights Campaign.
  • Promoting a safe and inclusive workplace through a number of measures, including communicating personal pronouns across company platforms.
  • Investing in and partnering with organizations that advance the careers of LGBTQIA+ individuals like Lesbians Who Tech, Rainbow Riders, etc.
  • Providing Inclusive Leadership Training to our managers.
  • Host 30+ events annually focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, that have increased our employer brand awareness in underrepresented groups, cultural competence, and accelerated the careers of our employees.

And what we’re working on:

  • Releasing internal Gender Transition Guidelines
  • Applying for the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index — the national benchmarking tool for LGBTQ workplace equality.
  • Continuing to expand inclusive leader training for all employees manager level and above.
  • Adding a Senior Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Partner to develop strategies to support the advancement of internal talent, and continue to build an inclusive workplace in our KeepTruckin teams.

We are proud of the work we have done to create an inclusive workplace for all employees at KeepTruckin and we look forward to iterating on this as we grow. From all of us here at KeepTruckin — Happy Pride!
