Flower Greetings

One of our Nakama strolled around every Tokopedia office floor to give flowers to other Nakama while wearing Valentine accessories and Deadpool mask. The atmosphere suddenly became exciting when Deadpool appeared and handed out flowers. Nakama who were working were pleasantly surprised by Deadpool coming to their office floor.

“I was shocked at first because all of a sudden there was Deadpool giving me a flower! But I’m happy with the event. Also, thank you for the motivation letter. It was very encouraging!” said Vanesha, one of Tokopedia’s Nakama.

Love Meter

Nakama also sent out greetings to fellow Nakama by posting heart-shaped sticky notes that have funny messages written on it. The sticky notes were posted to the Love Meter board which is affixed to the entrance of each floor. The floor that has the most Love Meter notes was rewarded with flowers and snacks.

“It was so much fun! It’s a perfect moment to appreciate other Nakama without them knowing who the sticky notes were from, because sometimes we can be shy to openly openly support people that we’re not that close with,” said Yudha, one of Tokopedia’s Nakama.

Love Letter

Love Letter was a mailbox provided for Nakama to send letters to each other. Nakama that havewritten the letter will thenput the letter into a box labeled”Love Letter” which was placed in front of the entrance of each floor. Aftewards, the letter weresent to the respective Nakama. Many Nakama participated and wrote their letters for the Love Letter box. The contents of the letter were varied, from funny messages to lunch invitation.

“Wow, I’m really happy with the Love Letter! I happened to receive two letters myself. It is a really good form of appreciation amongst Nakama and make us feel more enthusiastic to work!” said Anti, one of Tokopedia’s Nakama.

Garage Sale

In this month of love, Nakama also held a Special Garage Sale Event for International Cancer Day and to share more to our friends at the Pita Kuning Foundation. To enliven this Garage Sale, Tokopedia collaborated with 17 influencers such as Andra Alodita, Keshia Nathania, and Raivan Yogiaman.

Nakama started collecting goods for the donation from 25 January — 4 February 2019. Many Nakama donated their books, good clothes, bags, shoes, and also beauty tools for this Garage Sale. Those who donated received a goodie bag containing toiletries and body care products as well as snacks. The total revenue from the Garage Sale was up to Rp. 16,300,000, — and distributed to the Pita Kuning Foundation.

“Wow, it’s a good event for a good cause! If it’s for donation, I will be much more interested to give my clothes because the money will be distributed to those in need,” said Keshia Nathania, one of the influencers who came to Tokopedia Garage Sale event.

Nakamate

Tokopedia also held Nakamate event to celebrate Valentine’s Day with friends who were less fortunate. Nakamate was a volunteering activity conducted on 16 February 2019 at South Jakarta PPKD. Nakama who participated were mentoring South Jakarta PPKD participants about careers and business.

“I am very happy to have shared my knowledge about careers with friends at PPKD. They were also very enthusiastic to take part in this event. Many of them said that they felt very inspired by the knowledge and insights shared by Nakama who were present,” said Gabriel, one of Tokopedia’s Nakama.

For Tokopedia, Nakama are family. Therefore, it’s important to show love between family members.
