- The main campus of IIT Mandi at Kamand has well equipped class roo and computing facilities. Good teaching laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering have been developed at Kamand campus. A well-equipped Central Workshop with CNC lathe, CNC milling, rapid prototyping machine and conventional machining, welding and foundry equipment caters to the requirements of undergraduate teaching and research projects.
- In addition, IIT Mandi is in the process of procuring equipment which will be useful to do research in the areas of device fabrication, VLSI design, renewable energy systems, smart grid, control systems, signal processing and communication.
- IIT Mandi has a Central Library located in the main campus. A growing collection of books and journals in soft and in print forms is housed in the central library. Library operations are automated using RFID, KOHA LMS and digitized with DSpace OSS. The Library currently houses over 14,952 print books, 10000 e-books and provides access to more than 10000 e-journals. The library has also subscribed to e-books from several reputed publishers, such as ASME, Cambridge University Press, Elsevier, IEEE, Pearson, Taylor & Francis, World scientific, Tata McGraw Hill and Wiley.
- Presently, for internet access, IIT Mandi has high-speed links with a total capacity of more than 200 Mbps from two internet service providers both in the main campus and in the transit campus.
- BioX centre has been set up with a vision to advance the frontiers of technology development and engineering towards applications in disease prevention and affordable healthcare, agricultural practices with respect to the Himalayan region, Himalayan biodiversity, and exploration in biotechnology
