My Watchlist: Series Worth Binge-watching amid Lockdown

“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” — Dolly Parton

I believe that life has a funny way of teaching us. A lot of us would have kick started the year believing that 2020 would be the best year. Little did we know, an unknown virus with no face and that which knows no race would engulf and change our lives forever.

Being quarantined within the four walls of my home for more than ninety days has put me up-close and personal with a new world, which even I didn’t believe existed. But this gave me an opportunity to watch all the web series, that I wanted to watch since long but couldn’t watch.

I remember, the first web series I watched was FRIENDS in 2013 when I started my graduation. Since then I have watched this series many times, as it always makes me feel relaxed and happy. I observed that, if you are watching FRIENDS, you will be getting addicted owing to its content. You will get all colors of life in this series, like, love, hate, envy, emotion, friendship, argument, discussion, empathy, sympathy, live for other etc.

Here is a list of the series that I have watched and what I have learned from them:

  1. F.R.I.E.N.D.S: Life sucks but if you have your loved ones near you than it becomes a lot easier. Also, adding Laughter tracks can make anything funny (Controversial Opinion) 😂

2) Lucifer: Everything is not how it looks. The devil can have a good side too.

3) Young Sheldon: People with curiosity and love to ask questions, come out as a winner.

4) Game of Thrones: Expectations lead to disappointment. The real hero/winner can be an underdog who observes everything and wins at the right time.

5) Vampire Diaries: People sympathize with you for a shorter time. You need to move on and accept things.

6) Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Love what you do and do what you love, then your journey becomes Nice, (pun intended).

7) Big Bang Theory: No matter how different/odd you are, you will find friends, and they will lead you to greatness and success.

8) Breaking Bad: Quality over everything. Your product is the legacy, you leave behind.

9) Silicon Valley: Take care of Yourself. Entrepreneurs who run start-ups are obsessed with the health of their companies. What they are never obsessed about is their own health. This seems fine for a short time, but in the long-term, it grinds them down.

10) Money Heist: Nothing is Impossible. With proper plan, you execute it very well. So, avoid doing random things. Plan and execute for faster and better results.

11) Mr. Robot: Self-reliance is good but taking others perspective on your decisions can reduce entropy because sometimes the impact of your decisions are way more different than expected and irreversible.

12) Stranger Things: World is full of monsters (real or fictional) but it becomes easy to fight them when you have a tight knit group of friends and family.

13) Arrow: Everyone has the power to stand up for what’s right, and it’s not vigilantism, it’s responsibility.

14) Mentalist: Your mind can be your biggest enemy and closest friend at the same time.

15) The Office: People only realize your value after you leave.

16) Suits: Life is uncertain you never know when your enemies become family and best friends become opponents. Time changes everything. The only rule of life is, if you have a problem solve it. Always have a #winning attitude and trust your guts.

17) The Final Call: Power of happiness is way beyond success and a hodgepodge life.

18) The Originals: Family above all.

19) 13 Reasons Why: Never judge anybody because there’s a lot we don’t know about them or their struggles. Also, bullying someone can cause a ripple effect which may damage many people. Always be kind.

20) Entourage: Share your success with the people you love.

21) Dark: Everyone is effed up in their own absurd ways. There’s no right and wrong and definitely no way to judge all those people like books by their covers.
