What is Strength?

Strength is a perspective

Not the goal of a race,

Strength is subjective

Where you and I are on varied pace.

— — — — —

Strength is enduring pain

Put forth as a test by God,

Strength is making it through

So one day, you look back n’ applaud.

— — — — —

Strength is doing the unexpected

Living a nightmarish dream,

Strength is hugging tight, your despair

Trying not to lose self-esteem.

— — — — —

Strength is a cruel word,

An expectation from the rest.

Strength is not a theorem to prove,

Neither worthy of a quest.

— — — — —

Strength is how far your have come

On your own, with no one around,

Strength is hidden within you

Teaching you to heal your wound.
